Job Description:

Collection of Accounts:

Contact customers with invoices that are past payment terms. Obtain details about unpaid invoices and making arrangements to resolve unpaid invoices. Update notes on accounts regarding the details of collecting. Prepare and provide sales professional with excel aging report every two week. Research and clear up discrepancies on accounts regarding invoices that are not paid in full.

Make timely decisions on credit holds and turning accounts over for collections.

Credit References:

Receive and respond to credit reference requests. Credit reference requests should be completed daily except on Tuesdays (heavy cash day).

Customer Files:

Maintain customer files as needed, filing both new account files and individual paperwork that comes in for individual accounts.

Qualifications or skills required to be successful:

The candidate should possess an accounting background with an emphasis in credit and collections as well as cash posting experience. The candidate will also need to have good verbal and written communication abilities, analytical and problem solving proficiencies along with efficient organizational skills. Other necessary requirements would be the ability to work in a team environment and have the flexibility to perform more than one job duty. Finally the candidate should possess strong skills in SAP, Outlook, Excel and Word.
