Scope of Position:

Ensure a superior level of customer service in all aspects of the day-to-day operations.  Strive to exceed customer expectations while handling a high volume of work in a very efficient manner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Team up with and work closely with assigned sales representatives
  • Handle assigned responsibility internally for ledgers as well as help with our DFW House accounts and Driver calls
  • Accurate and timely handling of incoming phone calls and order entry
  • Timely handling of all correspondence, responding timely to all inquires
  • Solve problems related to backorders, deliveries, pricing and billing
  • Review daily backorders & deliveries and help purchasing with increases and decreases to prevent future back orders and excess inventory
  • Working with drivers resolving delivery issue’s
  • Source products for  customers in conjunction with Sales, the merchandising team and vendors
  • Understand customer pricing, vendor contracts, gross profit and GTM
  • Set customers up in SAP and on Pollock online ordering system as well as ongoing management
  • Prepare/assist with customer quotes
  • Customer reporting
  • Update customer master information with proper deliver and shipping instructions
  • Assist Sales to set up new materials
  • Work closely with all related departments such as Purchasing, A/R, Merchandising, warehouse and transportation to ensure high customer satisfaction and perfecting processes
  • Back up to another team member
  • Build order size and improve margins

Qualifications or skills required to be successful:

  • High school diploma or GED; some college preferred
  • Strong knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other MS Office products is preferred
  • Minimum two years Customer Service experience, more preferred
  • Industry product knowledge helpful
  • Possess superior verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Be able to handle an environment that consists of flexibility ex: constantly re-prioritizing, multi-tasking with a high volume of calls
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented with good follow up skills
  • Support to both internal and external customers
  • Dependable and demonstrate a team-player, can-do attitude
